Community Outreach Ministries

Bibb Mount Zion Baptist Church commits to holistically developing devoted disciples of Jesus Christ, and we believe we should be instruments of transformation in the world. We do this through community outreach ministries that empower our members to serve others that are in need.

Champions Ministry

Bibb Mount Zion Baptist Church serves children with disabilities and their families through the Champions Ministry. We host parent’s night out on the first Friday of each month from October – May. We care for children, and their siblings, with disabilities from 6-9pm while allowing parents time to relax and enjoy an evening together.

Girl Squad Mentoring

We have the pleasure of  partnering with the Department of Juvenile Justice to create a mentoring program for the female youth. This program is to teach young ladies the importance of setting goals, preparing them to become work force and college ready, and reducing chances of reentry into the juvenile system.

Fresh Start Mentoring

Fresh Start is a mentoring program that helps boys mentally and spiritually grow into men. Our goal is to be leaders so they will have a prime example of how a man should carry himself as a man of God.

Open Hands Ministry

We strive to serve the deaf community in Middle Georgia with the Open Hands Ministry. Our Open Hands Ministry provides interpreted worship services for the deaf. We educate the Body of Christ about the needs of people who are deaf and their need to communicate the Gospel.

Trailblazers Adopt-a-School Initiative

Our church invests in our local education through our Adopt-a-School program. We offer a holistic approach to help parents, children, and school staff. Some services through this ministry include mentoring, teacher appreciation events, and life skill training for students. Our Adopt-a-School ministry currently serves Southfield Elementary School and Southwest Magnet High School and Law Academy in Macon, GA.

Next Level Community Development Center

In 1999, Bibb Mount Zion Baptist Church founded Next Level Community Development Center, Inc., to offer after school and summer programs for children 5 to 18 years old. This included offering a youth redevelopment center for young men ages 13-19. Today, Next Level is a non-profit dedicated to empowering at-risk youth to exercise sound judgment regarding their education, health, social and emotional well-being. Some of our major services include:

New Dawn Counseling

New Dawn Counseling Center provides mental health counseling based on sound principles and Christian values. This combination of expert care and Biblical wisdom allows patients to integrate their faith into the treatment process.
