The entire month of February we celebrated our heritage and history. Our children and youth were excellent in their portrayal and rendition of individuals and events that have shaped our history. The month culminated on Sunday with an exhibit that was beyond phenomenal. The youth researched African Americans who “have” and “are” making an impact. Each youth was responsible for conducting their own research and using their creativity to bring awareness to the African American being highlighted. The presentations were informative, engaging, and amazing. Thank you to the leaders responsible for working with our youth.
